It stars the veteran cast of Bob Odenkirk, Martin Freeman as well as Billy Bob Thornton. Tolman has been praised for her performance in the character of Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair stated that Tolman had "calmly assuredly stolen the entire production". In the year 2017, Tolman starred in ABC's Downward Dog, based on the Animal Media Group web series which was cancelled following one season. Tolman played in ABC's Emergence drama which premiered on the 24th of September, 2019, however it was cancelled by ABC within a year, in May of 2020. even though Tolman posting on Twitter she thought the ratings were "pretty decent".
